‘Tricks’ - the jangly, indie pop gem from Stella Donnelly comes alongside a brand new, Julia Jacklin-directed music video. Through its singalong quality and jaunty vocal delivery, ‘Tricks’ captures its listener straight away as it takes them through a story of racist Australian pride and the music industry. Of the video that comes with it, Jacklin says: “I wanted to have a dancer in the style of an Australia tap dog following Stella around Melbourne and trying to get her attention as she goes about her day. Is he real? Is he in her imagination? Not sure”. The piece is dropping as part of her forthcoming debut album Beware Of The Dogs, out March 8^th of Secretly Canadian, just in time for her April-May Europe/UK tour and her summer festival appearances. -Dan Peeke
